OgelalaBallet mystery based on the ancient Mexican original ” op. 53 is a one-act ballet composed by Erwin Schulhoff in 1923 , divided into 13 images.

It is noticeable that the line-up differs greatly from the classical symphonic line-up; apart from a trumpet, no brass whatsoever is used, and the drum kit is missing in the drums. The occupied banjo is also very atypical for a classical orchestra. Another characteristic is the great variety of percussion instruments that make up the rhythmic character of the music.
