background
The folk actor and dialect comedian Fredy Scheim (1892–1957), who was born in Biel and became known as “Zürcher Fredi”, appeared with his own theater troupe in the 1920s and was popular due to gramophone recordings. Heiri Bünzli, the title figure in his stage swing , had one A figure created that caricatured the Swiss petty bourgeoisie and quickly became a household name : the “ Bünzli ”.
Scheim made two dialect films around him at the beginning of the sound film era, Bünzli's Big City Experiences 1930 and Ohä lätz! De Bünzli is getting energetic! 1935, the latter together with the Swiss actor Rudolf Bernhard (born March 26, 1901 in Basel; † October 21, 1962 in Zurich), who has already been his stage partner. He wrote the scripts for both films himself; he also directed the latter.
Oh dear! De Bünzli is getting energetic! like Bünzli's big city experiences, is considered lost .
