The Oku-hyōga Rock ( Japanese 奥 氷河 岩 Oku-hyōga-iwa , Norwegian Indre Brenabben , both sides translated Inner Glacier Rock ) is a nunatak on the Prince Harald coast in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is the southernmost rock formation on the eastern flank of the Shirase Glacier .
Aerial photographs and measurements of a Japanese Antarctic expedition that lasted from 1957 to 1962, as a result of which the naming was made, were used for mapping. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred the Japanese designation in 1968 in a partial translation into English.
