Olaf Brandt (born July 2, 1971 in Greifswald ) is a German wrestler .

He was multiple GDR wrestling champion, first division wrestler and participant in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona , where he competed in the Greco-Roman style in the flyweight class up to 52 kg.

Olaf Brandt started wrestling at Dynamo Greifswald in 1979. Among other things, he fought for the first division clubs Witten, Goldbach, Luckenwalde, Aue and Greiz. In 1989, at the age of 18, he became the last GDR men's champion.

He fought for FC Erzgebirge Aue until 2003 , when he switched to RSV Rotation Greiz . In 2004 he started for the KG Rostock / Warnemünde, in March 2006 he won his 5th German championship title for the second division club Johannis Nürnberg. In October 2006 he fought for the RV Thalheim. After a break, Brandt returned to Thalheim in 2010 to wrestle for 1 year in the weight class up to 66 kg.
