The Oldscho ( Russian Ольджо ; also Oldo (Олдо) or Oldjo (Ольдё)) is a 330 km long right tributary of the Jana in Siberia ( Russia , Asia ).
The river flows out of several lakes on the eastern slope of the Chersky ridge belonging to the Chersky Mountains (хребет Хадаранья) at an altitude of 1,100 m, flows around the ridge to the north and then continues in a predominantly south-westerly direction to the confluence with the Jana about 20 km below the mouth of the most important tributary the Jana, the Adytscha . Near the mouth, the Oldscho is a good 100 m wide and 1.5 m deep; the flow velocity is 0.8 m / s.
The catchment area of the Oldscho covers 16,100 km 2 and lies entirely on the territory of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) . The most important tributary of the Oldscho is the Nenneli (Неннели, from the left).
A road (so-called tract) leads through the valley of the Oldscho, which connects the middle course of the Jana with that of the Indigirka .
