course

The Olešnický potok rises north of Špinov in the Přibyslavská pahorkatina ( Primislauer hill country ). Its source is located at the eastern foot of the Strážky hill (604 m nm) in the Chalupníkův rybník pond. Initially, the stream flows into the Jordán pond with pipes and then emerges again. The stream running to the northwest past the villages of Buková, Olešenka and Poříčí leads exclusively through fields and meadows. On its lower course, the stream is bridged by the Brno – Havlíčkův Brod railway line and flows northeast of Poříčí into the Sázava. The Olešnický potok has a length of approx. 11 km.
