Olga Leontjewna Mikitenko (Russian Ольга Леонтьевна Микитенко , Ukrainian Ольга Леонтіївна Микитенко Olha Leontijiwna Mykytenko * 24. June 1974 in Zhytomyr , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian opera singer ( soprano ). In 1999 she received the honorary title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.

Live and act

Olga Mykytenko studied at the National Music Academy of Ukraine Peter Tchaikovsky with Galina Suhorukowa. She has won numerous important competitions (2nd prize and special award at the Francisco Vinas Competition in Barcelona 1997, Grand Prix at the Maria Callas Competition in Athens 1997 and 1st prize at the Queen Sonja Competition in Oslo 2003).

She made her stage debut at the National Opera in Kiev in 1995, where she was engaged as a soloist from 1995 to 2003. She was invited to a duo concert with Renato Bruson and Jose Carreras in Kiev .

Olga Mykytenko has been a regular guest at leading European and American opera and concert halls since 2001, e. B. in Rome, New York ( Metropolitan Opera ), Barcelona , Berlin ( German Opera ), Bavarian State Opera , German Opera on the Rhine , Royal Opera (Stockholm) , Hamburg State Opera , Cologne, Brussels, Lisbon, St. Petersburg, Toulouse, Salzburg ( Great Festival Theater ), Montpellier, Lyon.

In 2017, Olga Mykytenko published her philosophical novel Solo OM in Ukraine , based on her personal biography.
