Oliveira do Castelo is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Oliveira do Castelo belongs to the district and the city center of Guimarães in the district of Braga . The community had an area of 0.69 km² and 3251 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Guimarães (Oliveira do Castelo), Guimarães (São Paio) and Guimarães (São Sebastião) were merged to form the new parish União das Freguesias de Oliveira, São Paio e São Sebastião .
