Oliver Dingley (born November 24, 1992 in Harrogate , England , United Kingdom ) is a former British , now Irish diver . He initially started for the Harrogate Diving DC club in the disciplines of artificial jumping from the 1 m and 3 m board and in 3 m synchronized jumping.

At the 2010 European Junior Championships he won gold from the 1 m board and bronze from the 3 m board. In 2008 and 2009 he won one title each at the British Championship. Dingley had his first international assignment in the adult sector at the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi . With Jack Laugher he was seventh in the 3 m synchronized jumping . In the individual, he finished ninth and eleven. He took part in the 2011 European Championships in Turin . He was seventh in jumping from the 1 m board. In the British eliminations for the 2012 Summer Olympics , he finished second.

However, when the third-placed finisher was preferred to him, he decided to change his nationality. Since October 2014 he starts for Ireland , where one of his grandmothers came from. Since February 2016, he has been the first Irish diver since 1948 to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
