Jack Laugher , MBE (born January 30, 1995 in Harrogate , England ) is a British water diver . He starts for the City of Leeds Diving Club in the disciplines of artificial jumping from the 1-meter and 3-meter board and in 3-meter synchronized jumping.

Laugher's first international assignment in the adult sector was at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi . With Oliver Dingley he finished seventh in the 3 m synchronized jumping. In the individual from the 3-meter board, he finished eleventh. In 2011 he first took part in the World Cup in Shanghai . He was eliminated from the 1-meter board in the preliminary fight, but reached eighth place from the 3-meter board in the final.

Laugher was very successful in 2010 at the Junior European and World Championships. He won both competitions from the 1-meter and 3-meter board. In 2011 he was the first British champion from the 3-meter board.

He also achieved success with victories at the Commonwealth Games 2014 in the 3-meter synchronized jumping with his synchronous partner Chris Mears . and in 1-meter jumping, as well as second place in 3-meter jumping.

Laugher achieved his greatest successes to date when, together with Mears, at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , he relegated the competition in synchronized jumping from the 3-meter board and he also won gold in the individual from 3 meters.
