Oliver Guenay

Oliver Guenay (born August 3, 1961 in Munich ; † March 23, 2018 ) was a German journalist and non-fiction author on the subject of paragliding and mountaineering .

Career

Guenay studied geography and meteorology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1982 to 1986 , but gave up his studies in favor of his sporting activities.

After climbing large alpine walls and first experiences in paragliding, including on a self-made tandem glider, Guenay began writing books. Guenay repeatedly went on expeditions to South America, Africa and Australia and gained experience as a basis for his books.

Another field of activity of Guenay was infrastructure analysis on behalf of tourism companies .

Fonts

Guenay mainly wrote guides for paragliders and mountaineers. His articles have appeared in Fit for Fun and in Adventure and Travel . His first book Sarca - Kapriolen über dem Gardasee was also published in Italian under the title Sarca-Arco - evoluzioni sul Lago di Garda .
