Oliver Schweissing (born March 3, 1971 in Hamburg ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player .

Career

As a player

Oliver Schweissing played from 1992 to 1994 at Concordia Hamburg in the fourth-class Verbandsliga Hamburg, from there he moved to FC St. Pauli , which played in the second division . At the Hamburg team, welding made his debut under coach Uli Maslo on the 6th match day of the 1994/95 season . In the away game against Fortuna Düsseldorf he scored the 0: 1 winning goal for his team on his debut in the professional league in the 60th minute. In his first season he came on nineteen missions and scored three goals. At the end of the season, Pauli was in second place in the table, so he was promoted to the Bundesliga . Welding played with Pauli in the first division until 1997, at the end of the 96/97 season he was in last place with Pauli and was relegated. Welding left Pauli and played for VfB Lübeck after a season at VfL 93 Hamburg . Lübeck had just been relegated from the 2nd division and thus played in the regional league. Welding played for Lübeck for the next two years, in which a seventh and a second place was achieved. In 1999 he was drawn to league rivals BV Cloppenburg for one season before returning to Lübeck. In the 2000/01 season , welding won the championship and promotion to the second division with VfB. He played another year in the second division and then said goodbye to professional football. From 2003 to 2008 he still played for TuS Dassendorf .

As a trainer

In the 2007/08 season he also acted as an assistant coach for TuS Dassendorf. In summer 2008, after retiring from his career, he also took on the position of head coach. At the end of November 2011 he ended his engagement.
