Oliver Sturm (born March 20, 1971 ) is a former German soccer player.
Career
Oliver Sturm came to Fortuna Düsseldorf's youth department in 1989 from youth VfL Benrath . In 1991 Sturm moved to FC Remscheid , where he made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga . After Sturm was relegated to Remscheid in his second season, he moved to the Stuttgarter Kickers at the beginning of the 1993/94 season , with whom he also relegated to the regional league. In 1993, Sturm took part in the military world championship in Morocco with the Bundeswehr national team and took third place. However, he stayed with the Kickers after relegation and made it back to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1996. However, after this success he no longer played a role in the Kickers and only worked with the amateurs of the Kickers . This resulted in another move back to North Rhine-Westphalia to SC Verl in the Regionalliga West / Südwest . But just a year later, the midfielder left the club and joined VfR Mannheim . Sturm was active for Mannheim until 2002 before he played for FC Rastatt 04 for another year and then ended his career.
