Oliver Westerbeek (born February 8, 1966 in Cologne ) is a former German soccer player .

Player career

In 1987 Westerbeek began his professional career with the then Bundesliga club FC 08 Homburg ; he had previously played for the clubs SSG Bergisch Gladbach and TuS Höhenhaus . After the FCH's descent in 1987/88 , he joined VfL Bochum . After FC 08 Homburg rose again straight away, they went back to their old club. In 1989/90 he was relegated again with his club, whereupon he moved to Karlsruher SC and continued to play in the Bundesliga . After only 17 games in two years, he left the KSC and moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for MSV Duisburg . In the first year he rose to the first division with the MSV. In 1994/95 the relegation followed and a year later the direct rise again. In the last of his five years in Duisburg he played again in the top German league. For the 1997/98 season he then went to SC Fortuna Cologne and two years later to KFC Uerdingen 05 , for which he played for another year in the Regionalliga West / Southwest and achieved relegation.

After the career

From 1999 Oliver Westerbeek worked as a player consultant at Rogon Sportmanagement and the INSOCCER player consultancy . Today he is managing director at AW Management - Allofs & Westerbeek GbR .
