Olivia Mellegård (born June 17, 1996 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish handball player . She plays for the Danish first division club København Håndbold and in the Swedish national team .

Career

Olivia Mellegård initially played for the Swedish club Önnereds HK . In 2015, the outside player moved to the Swedish first division club IK Sävehof . With Sävehof she won the Swedish championship in 2016, 2018 and 2019. In the summer of 2019 she moved to the Danish first division club København Håndbold .

Olivia Mellegård won the gold medal at the 2013 U-17 European Championship , the bronze medal at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games and the bronze medal at the 2015 U-19 European Championship with the Swedish national youth team . Mellegård has been a member of the Swedish national team since 2016, for which she has scored 99 goals in 47 international matches . She took part in the 2016 European Championships . Mellegård retreated to the main round game against France in a collision with Laura Glauser a concussion to. As a result, the tournament was over for them. She also finished fourth with Sweden at the 2017 World Cup and sixth at the 2018 European Championships .
