Olivia Saragosa

Olivia Saragosa (* before 1994 in Toronto , Canada ) is a Canadian opera and concert singer ( mezzo-soprano ).

Life

education

After studying singing at McGill University in Montreal (Canada), from which Olivia Saragosa obtained the academic degrees " Bachelor of Music" and " Master of Music" from 1994 to 2000 , she completed a further artistic course from 2001 to 2002 at the "Hanns Eisler" University of Music in Berlin .

From 1998 to 2000 she also took part in master classes with Russell Braun , Marjana Lipovšek and Brigitte Fassbaender .

In addition, she completed dance training at the National Ballet School of Canada, the Sean Boutilier Academy and the Toronto Randolph School.

Work as an opera singer

From 2004 to 2007 Saragosa had a festival engagement as a lyric mezzo-soprano at the Stadttheater Bremerhaven . Work as a concert singer

In addition to her stage work, Saragosa also appeared as a concert singer. So she sang solo parts a. a. by Johann Sebastian Bach ( Christmas Oratorio ; cantatas BWV 2, 45 and 93), Ludwig van Beethoven ( 9th Symphony ), Georg Friedrich Händel ( Messiah ), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ( Requiem ), Verdi ( Requiem ) and Dvořák (Stabat Mater). In addition, she designed recitals and gala concerts.
