Olivier Sorlin (born April 9, 1979 in Saint-Étienne ) is a French football player . The midfielder played 386 Ligue 1 games .
Career
societies
Sorlin started his professional career in 1997 at ASOA Valence and moved to HSC Montpellier in 1999 . From 2002 to 2005 he worked for Stade Rennes before signing a contract with AS Monaco in 2005 . After only one year in Monaco, he returned to Stade Rennes in 2006. His only post abroad from 2009 to 2010 was an engagement at PAOK Thessaloniki . From the end of August 2010, Sorlin played for FC Evian Thonon Gaillard . With the club he rose after the 2010/11 season as a Ligue 2 champion in the top French division . After the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons , they were relegated to Ligue 2 and then to the third-tier national team . At the end of August 2016, Sorlin joined the lower-class club FC Annecy . In July 2018 he moved to Cluses-Scionzier FC.
National team
In May 2002 Sorlin played with the French U21 national team at the U21 European Championship in Switzerland . He was used four times in the tournament and scored two goals, placing him in second place on the top scorer list . On May 28, 2002, the team lost in the final of the Czech selection on penalties . In total, Sorlin played 28 games for the U21s and scored 9 goals.
