Olivier Jean-Marie Michel de Berranger IdP (born November 10, 1938 in Courbevoie , Hauts-de-Seine , France , † May 23, 2017 ) was Bishop of Saint-Denis .

Life

Olivier de Berranger joined the secular institute Istituto del Prado and was ordained a priest on July 4, 1964 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Saint-Denis on September 6, 1996 . The Archbishop of Lyon , Albert Cardinal Decourtray , ordained him episcopal on October 19 of the same year; Co- consecrators were François Favreau , Bishop of Nanterre , and François Frétellière PSS , Bishop of Créteil .

On January 15, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI. his early resignation request.
