François Frétellière

François-Victor-Marie Frétellière PSS (born November 19, 1925 in Coron , Maine-et-Loire , France , † May 3, 1997 in Créteil ) was Bishop of Créteil .

Life

François Frétellière was ordained a priest on July 3, 1949 and entered the Congregation of the Sulpizians .

On January 2, 1971 he was appointed by Pope Paul VI. Appointed titular bishop of Caudium and auxiliary bishop in Bordeaux-Bazas . He was ordained bishop on February 7 of the same year by the Archbishop of Angers, Henri-Louis-Marie Mazerat (1903–1986); Co- consecrators were Marius Maziers , Archbishop of Bordeaux, and Jean-Baptiste Brunon , Bishop of Tulle . In 1979 he was appointed coadjutor bishop of Créteil. Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Créteil in 1981.

The process for the beatification of Madeleine Delbrêl was initiated in 1990 by Bishop Francois Frétellière in Rome.
