Coron is a French commune with 1,593 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Cholet and the Canton of Cholet-2 (until 2015: Canton Vihiers ). The inhabitants are called Coronnais .

geography

Coron is located about 18 kilometers east-northeast of Cholet in the Mauges countryside . The Lys flows through the municipality . Coron is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lys-Haut-Layon in the east, La Plaine in the south, Chanteloup-les-Bois in the southwest, Vezins in the west and Chemillé-en-Anjou in the north-west and north.
