The Lys is a river in France that runs in the Maine-et-Loire department in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises in the municipality of Chanteloup-les-Bois , drains generally in a north-easterly direction and flows into the Layon as a left tributary after 29 kilometers northeast of Aubigné-sur- Layon .
