geography

Trémentines is about nine kilometers northeast of Cholet on the Èvre . Trémentines is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beaupréau-en-Mauges in the north, Vezins in the east, Nuaillé in the south, Cholet in the southwest and Le May-sur-Èvre in the west. The A87 car route runs through the municipality .

history

The name Maulévrier comes from the Latin Malum Leporarium , from which Malus Leporium and Malus Levrarius ; in any case a place that is unhealthy for rabbits .
