Yzernay is about 14 kilometers east-southeast of Cholet . Yzernay is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Chanteloup-les-Bois in the north, La Plaine in the northeast, Somloire in the east, Les Cerqueux in the southeast, Mauléon in the south and southeast, Saint-Pierre-des-Échaubrognes in the south and southwest, Maulévrier in the west as well Toutlemonde in the northwest.
