Saint-Léger-sous-Cholet is a French commune with 2,930 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Maine-et-Loire in the region of Pays de la Loire . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Cholet and the canton of Saint-Macaire-en-Mauges (until 2015: canton of Cholet-1 ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Légeois .

Saint-Léger-sous-Cholet is four kilometers northwest of Cholet in the Mauges . Saint-Léger-sous-Cholet is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Le May-sur-Èvre in the north and north-east, Cholet in the east and south, La Séguinière in the west and south-west and Bégrolles-en-Mauges in the north-west.
