Olivier Jacques Marie de Germay de Cirfontaine (born September 18, 1960 in Tours ) is a French priest and bishop of Ajaccio in Corsica .

Life

Olivier de Germay first attended the Saint-Cyr military school . He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Toulouse on May 17, 1998 . In addition to pastoral work, he had a teaching position at the Institut Catholique de Toulouse . Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Ajaccio on February 22, 2012 .

The archbishop of Marseille , Georges Paul Pontier , donated him episcopal ordination on April 14th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Robert Jean Louis Le Gall OSB , Archbishop of Toulouse and Jean Marie Louis Bonfils SMA , Former Bishop of Nice . As a motto he chose Christ dilexit ecclesiam according to ( Eph 5,25  EU ) (Eng. "Christ loved the Church").
