The series tells the story of heroic men and women who were banished by the gods to the underworld, Hades. The hero of the fantasy saga, which is based on the Greek world of legends, is a man named "Hero", played by Tom York. The inexperienced youth experiences betrayal, love, disappointment and exile and in the course of the plot develops into a leader of humanity and a worthy opponent for the gods.
