Omar Kabbaj

Omar Kabbaj ( Arabic عمر قباج, DMG ʿUmar Qabbāǧ ; * August 15, 1942 in Rabat ) is a Moroccan economist and adviser to the Moroccan King Mohammed VI since June 22, 2006 .

Life

Kabbaj studied at the business school École supérieure de commerce in Toulouse and graduated there in 1963 with a diploma.

From August 26, 1995 to September 1, 2005, he was the 6th President of the African Development Bank for two terms . During his presidency, the focus was primarily on the individual member states: the establishment of country teams, the alignment, synchronization and further development with the projects planned by the countries, the advance improvement of the quality and standardization of the projects as well as the monitoring, monitoring and evaluation of projects .
