Founding history

Derek Birkett and Kelly had previously been members of the Flux of Pink Indians band and had already gained experience running a label: After releasing their first EP on Crass Records , they founded Spiderleg Records in 1981 . Not only did their own records appear there, but also those of punk bands like Subhumans and Amebix .

success

One Little Indian had first sales successes from 1987 with Björk 's band The Sugarcubes at the time , as well as with The Shamen , Skunk Anansie , Kitchens of Distinction , Chumbawamba and others. The great success came with Björk's solo records.

When the English record company Rough Trade Records got into financial difficulties, Derek Birkett bought their master tapes.
