The One Shell Plaza is a skyscraper in the US city of Houston in the state of Texas . The building is located at 910 Louisiana Street .
With a height of 218 meters, the tower is the 10th tallest building in Houston. However, this official height is only due to the height of the roof edge. If you measure the roof antenna (which is officially not part of the building architecture), the skyscraper reaches a height of 302 meters and would be the third tallest building in the city, only a few meters lower than the JPMorgan Chase Tower and even only around half a meter than the Wells Fargo Plaza . One Shell Plaza has 50 floors of office space that can be reached with 22 elevators that run in the core of the building. The building, which has a rectangular floor plan, was designed by the well-known architectural firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill . Construction began in 1969 and was completed in 1971. At the time of completion, the skyscraper was the tallest in the city.
