Onesmus Nyerre

Onesmus Nyerre (born November 10, 1983 in Nyamira , Nyanza Province ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

In 2004 he ran a half marathon in Kisii in 1:02:30 h, and on November 23, 2005, he put together with Josphat Muchiri Ndambiri , Martin Irungu Mathathi , Daniel Muchunu Mwangi , Mekubo Mogusu and John Kariuki in Chiba with 1:57:06 h set a world record in the marathon relay .

Nyerre, who acted as a pacemaker in various marathons , achieved his best time of 2:14:31 h over the 42.195 km distance as ninth in the 2008 Düsseldorf Marathon .
