The Onnum Valley is a non-iced valley in the Australian Antarctic Territory . In the Britannia Range , it is between Derrick Peak and Onnum Ridge .
A New Zealand team of geologists from the University of Waikato , who worked in the area between 1978 and 1979, named the valley based on the name of Onnum Ridge. Its namesake is the ancient Roman riding fort Onnum in north-east England.
