Or Jehuda ( Hebrew אור יהודה, Arabic أور يهودا, DMG Ūr Yahūdā ) is a city in Israel . It is located southeast of Tel Aviv in the Gush Dan . In 2018 the population was 36,864. The 5 km² town was given city status in 1988.
In 2008, the deputy mayor of Or Yehuda instigated residents to burn hundreds of New Testaments.
Or Jehuda is the seat of Babylon Translator , a company that produces online translation programs, and the MyHeritage genealogy platform .
