Organizational area (Bundeswehr)

An organizational area in the German Federal Armed Forces describes a subdivision within the subordinate business area of the Federal Ministry of Defense .

Organizational areas can be divided into military and civilian organizational areas. The military organizational areas are:

The civil organization areas are summarized under the term Bundeswehr administration. In addition, the administration of justice and the military pastoral care are part of the non-military part of the organization of the Bundeswehr.

As with the armed forces, there is an inspector at the head of the military organizational areas. The civil organizational areas are managed by a department in the Federal Ministry of Defense. The organizational areas AIN and IUD each comprise a higher federal authority ( Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Use of the Bundeswehr or Federal Office for Infrastructure, Environmental Protection and Services of the Bundeswehr ) to which all other departments in the organizational area are subordinate. In the personnel organizational area, in addition to the Federal Office for Personnel Management of the Bundeswehr, other departments are directly subordinate to the Federal Ministry of Defense.
