Kazjaryna Sjarhejeuna Wjarbizkaja ( Belarusian Кацярына Сяргееўна Вярбіцкая , Russian Екатерина Сергеевна Вербицкая Yekaterina Sergeyevna Werbizkaja , English transcription : Kateryna Verbitskaya19th September 1994 in Minsk ) is a Belarusian billiards player , in the billiards variant Russian billiards compete.

In 2014 she became the Belarusian champion in the free pyramid discipline .

Career

Wjarbizkaja began at the age of 16 years with billiards . She achieved her first successes in 2012 when she won the bronze medal at the Belarusian youth championship, which allowed her to take part in the European youth championship, from which she was eliminated without a win. In the same year she played for the first time in the Belarusian championship of adults and in an international tournament in Russia , but was eliminated there in the preliminary round.

After she had reached the quarter-finals at the Belarusian championship in 2013, Vyarbizkaya became national champion for the first time in 2014 with a 4-1 final victory over Darja Jussipez . At the international level, she also improved her results during this time, when she made it into the round of 32 twice at the Kremlin Cup, reached the second round at the Prince Open and the quarter-finals at the Minsk Open . By winning the Belarusian championship, she qualified for the first time in 2014 for the European championship in Minsk and the world championship in Khanty-Mansiysk , where she was eliminated in the preliminary round without a win.

In April 2015, Vyarbizkaya achieved her best result in the World Cup at the Prince Open , when she reached the quarter-finals with victories against Lyubov Dolgaja and record world champion Diana Mironova , where she lost 4-0 to her compatriot Aljaksandra Hisels . After she had won the bronze medal at the national championship and had no win at the European Championships , she defeated Tetjana Melichowa at the 2015 World Cup and reached the round of 16, in which she lost to Olga Milowanova .

In the following two years Vyarbitskaya played no more tournaments outside of Belarus. Her best result during this time was reaching the semi-finals at the national championship in 2016. In 2018 she returned to the international level when she finished fifth at the Baltic Women Cup in Vilnius and the Croatia Summer Cup in Baška Voda .

At the beginning of 2019, Vyarbizkaya finished fourth in the Belarusian Championship in the Combined Pyramid . A little later she moved into the final for the second time in the Free Pyramid and lost 4-1 to the record champions Kazjaryna Perepechayeva .
