Kazjaryna Sjarhejeuna Perepetschajewa ( Belarusian Кацярына Сяргееўна Перепечаева , Russian Екатерина Сергеевна Перепечаева Yekaterina Sergeyevna Perepetschajewa , English transcription: Kateryna Perepechaeva8. July 1991 in Borisov ) is a Belarusian billiards player , in the billiards variant Russian billiards compete.

She became world champion in the dynamic pyramid discipline in 2018 and vice world champion in the free pyramid in 2013 . In addition, she became European Champion in 2015 and won the Kremlin Cup in 2019 .

Career

Russian billiards

From the beginning of 2009 Perepetschajewa took part in the Free Pyramid European Cup, but retired there in the preliminary round. In October 2009, she reached the quarter-finals of the European Championships , in which she lost to future European Champion Wijaleta Klimawa . At the end of the year, her first participation in the World Cup followed , where she was eliminated in the preliminary round without a win.

In May 2010, Perepetschajewa won her first European Cup medal when she moved into the finals at the tournament in Moscow , in which she was defeated 2-5 by the Russian Diana Mironova . After she was eliminated in the preliminary round of her first Kremlin Cup , she reached the second round of the 2010 World Cup and the quarter-finals of the 2010 European Cup final. At the 2011 World Cup, however, she was again without a win.

In early 2012, Perepchayeva reached the sixteenth finals at the World Cup in Rostov-on-Don . In May she moved into the final of the Belarusian championship in the Free Pyramid and only just lost to Wolha Dabryjan (3: 4). After she was eliminated in the preliminary round at the Free Pyramid World Cup in 2012, she reached the quarter-finals at the Prince Open at the end of the year .

In 2013 the Belarusian championship in the Free Pyramid was played in two tournaments. Both times, Perepechayeva made it to the finals. After losing to Aljaksandra Hisels 1: 4, she prevailed 3: 2 in the second tournament against Julija Raschetnikawa . In September 2013 she reached the final of the Free Pyramid World Cup. After defeating Natalija Kornewa and Wijaleta Klimawa, among others , she had to admit defeat to Russian Olga Milowanova 5-6 in the final . Later that year she was eliminated in the preliminary round of the Minsk Open and in the round of 32 at the Kremlin Cup .

At the beginning of 2014, Perepchayeva suffered early defeats several times. It wasn't until July 2014 that she made it back to the quarter-finals. A few weeks later she won the Minsk Open with a 4-2 final win against Polina Jaroschewitsch and was Belarusian champion in the Free Pyramid in the final against Aljaksandra Hisels (4-1). After not winning at the Kremlin Cup , she reached the quarter-finals of the Free Pyramid World Cup in 2014, in which she lost to Diana Mironova.

In June 2015, Perepchayeva became European champion with a 5-1 final victory over Tatiana Maximowa . A little later she first took part in the World Cup in the Dynamic Pyramid , where she reached the quarter-finals and was eliminated from Diana Mironowa. At the beginning of October she was the first Belarusian to reach the final of the Kremlin Cup , in which she clearly had to admit defeat to Diana Mironova 1: 5. The Belarusian championship in the Free Pyramid was held again in 2015 in two tournaments, in which Perepechayeva came to the final. After just losing to Aljaksandra Hisels (3: 4) at the beginning of the year, she won the second tournament in November against Wolha Dabryjan (4: 1). At the end of November she won the bronze medal in the World Cup, when she was eliminated in the semifinals of the final tournament, again against Diana Mironowa. A few days later she also reached the semifinals of the Free Pyramid World Cup 2015, in which she was only slightly defeated 4-5 by the eventual world champion Olga Milowanova.

At the beginning of 2016, Perepchayeva played for the first time in the superfinal of the World Championships , an invitation tournament in Yugorsk with the four best World Cup participants of the previous year, but finished fourth there. A little later she became Belarusian champion in the combined pyramid with a 4-2 final win against Anastassija Nowikawa . In the following weeks she reached the semi-finals three times; at the Combined Pyramid World Cup , which was held for the first time , at the World Cup kick-off and at the Moscow Mayor's Cup . In September 2016 she was again in the final against Anastassija Nowikawa (5: 4) national champion, this time in the Free Pyramid. After she was eliminated in the round of 16 at the Kremlin Cup , she won the bronze medal for the second time at the Free Pyramid World Cup after a semi-final defeat by Anastassija Kovalchuk .

In April 2017, Perepchayeva made it to the semi-finals of the Combined Pyramid World Cup and lost to Olga Milovanova. In the same year she reached the quarter-finals at the Moscow Mayor's Cup and the second round at the Kremlin Cup . As in the previous year, she won two national championships in 2017. In the final she met Wolha Dabryjan, against whom she won 4: 2 in the Combined Pyramid in March and 4: 1 in the Free Pyramid at the end of the year.

At the beginning of 2018, Perepchayeva became the Belarusian champion in the dynamic pyramid . In April 2018 she became world champion in the dynamic pyramid in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with a 5-2 final win over defending champion Diana Mironowa. After Alena Bunas, she was the second Belarusian to win a world title in Russian billiards. At the same time, Perepchayeva ended with her final victory a 16-month series of success Mironowas, in which this had won every tournament in which she participated. Several early defeats followed for Perepechayeva, for example she was eliminated from the Moscow Mayor's Cup and the Free Pyramid World Cup in the round of 16, and at the Kremlin Cup 2018 already in the round of 32. At the national level, she won for the sixth time in a row towards the end of the year Free Pyramid Championship and came second in the Combined Pyramid Championship.

In 2019, Perepchayeva was eliminated from the Combined Pyramid World Cup in the round of 16 and again missed the quarter-finals of the Free Pyramid World Cup with a 4-0 defeat against Anna Kotlyar in the decisive preliminary round. In September, however, she made it into the final at the Kremlin Cup for the second time since 2015. In the final, she beat the reigning world champion Elina Nagula 4-1 and was the first player not from Russia to win the tournament in Moscow. At the national level, Perepechayeva secured three more championship titles in 2019. She won in the combined pyramid and twice in the free pyramid.

Pool

Perepchayeva also occasionally plays pool . In 2012 she took part in the 8-ball competition of the Belarusian championship and narrowly missed a medal in fifth place.
