Wolha Aljaksandrauna Dabryjan ( Belarusian Вольга Аляксандраўна Дабрыян , Russian Ольга Александровна Добриян Olga Alexandrovna Dobrijan , English transcription : Olga Dobriyan26 February 1991 in Minsk as Wolha Aljaksandrauna Bulhakawa , Belarusian Вольга Аляксандраўна Булгакава , Russian Ольга Александровна Булгакова Olga Alexandrovna Bulgakowa ) is a Belarusian billiard player who competes in the billiard variant Russian billiards .

The two-time Belarusian champion was third in the World Championships in 2008 and 2012 and vice-European champion in the Free Pyramid discipline in 2012 .

Life

Dabryjan was born in Minsk in 1991 . After graduating from school, she studied sport psychology at the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture from 2008 and graduated in 2012.

She is married and has a daughter (* 2014).

Career

As 15-year-old took Dabryjan first time in 2006 at the Women's European Championship in part, and divided in the preliminary round from. At the European Youth Championship she reached the quarter-finals. In November 2006 she won her first medal in the European Cup when she reached the semi-finals at the tournament in Ufa , where she lost 4-1 to her compatriot Wijaleta Klimawa . Shortly afterwards she made it to the quarterfinals of the final tournament.

After she was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the European Youth Championship in 2007 , she won the European Women's Championship in the preliminary round against defending champion Anastassija Luppowa and finally made it to the semi-finals, in which she had to admit defeat to the Russian Luppova 2-4. A little later she reached the semi-finals of the Ukrainian Independence Cup and lost to Olga Milovanova . In November she made her first participation in the World Cup in the quarter-finals, in which she was defeated by the eventual finalist Shanna Schmattschenko . At the European Cup final tournament she was again among the top eight.

In 2008 Dabryjan reached the semi-finals at Kaliningrad International, in which she was defeated by world champion Alena Bunas . After failing in the quarter-finals of the European Youth Championships for the third time in a row, she won her first adult World Cup medal in Saint Petersburg in November when she defeated Anastasija Luppova and made it to the semi-finals, in which she won the later world champion Natalja Sedych had to admit defeat 1: 4.

The following three years were not very successful for Dabryjan. She was eliminated in the preliminary round at the European Championships in 2009 and did not make it past the round of 16 in any of the five tournaments in the European Cup. In 2010 she was eliminated from both European Cup competitions and the Kremlin Cup in the preliminary round and in 2011 she did not get beyond the first round in any major tournament.

At the beginning of 2012 it achieved better results again. In the Belarusian Cup she reached a semi-finals and in May she was the first Belarusian champion in the Free Pyramid with a 4-3 final victory over Kazjaryna Perepechayeva . Two weeks later she moved into the final at the EM 2012, among other things by beating Anastassija Kovalchuk , in which she had to admit defeat to multiple world champion Diana Mironova 5-0. During the summer she reached the semifinals of the Minsk Open and won a tournament of the national cup for the first time in the final Kazjaryna Perepechayeva (3-2). In October 2012, she moved into the semifinals for the second time at the Free Pyramid World Cup in Minsk , where she lost again to Diana Mironova. Shortly afterwards, she was eliminated in the preliminary round of the Kremlin Cup .

In 2013 Dabryjan retired from the national championships in the quarterfinals. At international level, she was eliminated from the Moscow Mayor 's Cup in the preliminary round and at the Free Pyramid World Cup after an opening defeat against Darja Mikhailova in the sixteenth finals. At the Minsk Open 2013 she reached the semifinals, in which she was defeated by the Ukrainian Valerija Wassyljewa .

After a year break, Dabryjan took part in national tournaments again in 2015 and reached, among other things, the final of the Free Pyramid Championship, which she lost to Kazjaryna Perepechaeva with 1: 4. After failing to make it through the quarter-finals in 2016, she reached the final of the Belarusian Championship in the Combined Pyramid in early 2017 and lost again to Kazjaryna Perepechayeva (2: 4). A little later she first took part in the world championship in this discipline, in which she was eliminated with an opening defeat against future world champion Diana Mironowa. After reaching the quarter-finals of the Moscow Mayor's Cup and the round of 32 at the Kremlin Cup , among other things , she played another final against Kazjaryna Perepechayeva at the national Free Pyramid Championship and this time lost 4-1.

Dabryjan got off to a poor start in 2018. So she finished only in the back places in two national championships and was eliminated from the preliminary round of the Mayor's Cup in Moscow without a win. At the end of the year, however, she became Belarusian champion in the Combined Pyramid for the first time, after winning 4: 3 against defending champion Kazjaryna Perepchayeva, among others, in the group mode. At the national championships in 2019 she was eliminated in the combined pyramid in the preliminary round and reached the final in the free pyramid, in which she had to admit defeat to the record champion Kazjaryna Perepechayeva just 3: 4.

At the beginning of 2020 she made it to the final of the Belarusian championship in the Dynamic Pyramid for the first time and lost 3: 4 to Anastassija Filipawa .
