Organizational pedagogy

The Organization Education is a branch of education and addresses the educational and didactic goals in organizations . An important aspect here is organizational learning , which considers the learner in part of a social system. In addition to theories of education, theories from sociology , psychology and economics are also used. The tasks and goals of organizational pedagogy are to find out how useful learning and teaching can be in organizations and to find out by reflecting on why this is so.

history

From the very beginning of pedagogy, the focus was on the relationship between teachers and students . Therefore, educational organizations and institutions were created that are dedicated to teaching and education. These include, for example, schools , socio-educational institutions and adult education opportunities .

Newer approaches do not see the organization as a framework, but as a focus. In addition, the was the further development of vocational education and business education ensured that even in business enterprises and institutions without educational focus, the organization approaches education with flow and organizational theories have been integrated.

Types of learning

In organizational education, a distinction is made between three types of learning. These are:

  • Operational learning to adapt : This involves acquiring qualifications for which tasks must be clearly formulated, structured and defined.
  • Strategic development learning: The focus here is on learning different key qualifications with several functions. These should enable you to solve more complex tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Normative identity learning: This is about finding out which of the options of the strategic learning process are useful for implementation. The possibilities can be divided into individual, organizational and social factors.

Social and organizational education can be studied as an individual course at the University of Hildesheim or at the University of Trier , or it can be chosen as a minor or focus in education or other interface sciences .
