It has 33 registers on three manuals and a pedal .

history

In 1654, the former bishop of Cammin Ernst Bogislaw von Croÿ commissioned the organ builder Paul Fischer from Rügenwalde to build a new organ for the castle church of St. Johannes in Stolp in Pomerania. After his death, Michael Beriegel probably continued the work until 1657. The carving was done by Hans Eddelwer from Rügenwalde in the cartilage style. Originally there were wing doors at the main plant and the Rückpositiv . These were replaced by carved decorative elements ("ears") around 1700.

From the original organ are preserved:

  • the (partially changed) organ case
  • the case ornamentation and the color version and
  • 29 prospectus pipes of the Rückpositiv (Principal 4 ′).

In 1892 the organ was badly damaged in a fire in the church. In the following years an instrument with 20 voices was restored. From 1910 to 1911/12 a pneumatic game and stop action was installed in place of the mechanical one and the disposition was changed romantically. Repairs and minor changes took place in 1947, 1950, 1972 and 1980.

In 1995 it was decided to reconstruct the baroque organ from 1657. The organ researchers Jan Janca and Martin Rost were able to find the original disposition. In 2000, Józef and Zdzisław Mollin started the new building behind the existing baroque housing. In 2002 the work was completed.

Marienkirche

The Marienkirche was the main church in the city of Stolp. After several previous instruments, JF Schulzes Söhne built a new organ with two manuals from 1860 to 1861. This was enlarged in 1903/1904 by Paul Voelkner to 40 voices with three manuals. In 1929/1932 the companies W. Sauer, EF Walcker, GF Steinmeyer and E. Kemper applied for a further expansion. The work was carried out in 1934 by P. Furtwängler & Hammer , in which a fourth manual was installed and the number of stops increased to 59. A mobile electric console was built and the organ loft was enlarged. There were grinding shops.

Around 1947 (?) Stefan Truszczyński built a new instrument with 23 registers, two manuals and a pedal. This was dismantled in 2019 in order to build a new organ from Freiburg i. Br. Was purchased. This dates from 1956 and has 44 registers, which are now to be expanded to 54 registers.
