Ornäs BK is a Swedish women's football club from Borlänge . The club's first team played in the 1999 season in Damallsvenskan .
history
Ornäs BK was founded in 1982. It was agreed in collaboration with local rivals Torsångs IF that Ornäs BK would be dedicated to women's football, while Torsångs IF would be responsible for men's football.
Started in the lower area of the league pyramid, Ornäs BK was soon able to march through the leagues and in 1999 reached the first division. In the Damallsvenskan, however, the team had no chance and had to leave the elite series after three victories of the season as penultimate with Sunnanå SK and Tyresö FF again. In the following years, the team from central Sweden held in the second league level, before relegation to the third-class Division 2 Västra Svealand at the end of the 2007 season .
