The Mechters local chapel is a small church in the Mechters cadastral community of Böheimkirchen in the Sankt Pölten-Land district in Lower Austria . Their patron is St. Ulrich . As a local chapel, it is subordinate to the Roman Catholic parish Böheimkirchen in the Neulengbach deanery . The chapel is a listed building .

history

The small wooden chapel was built in the 19th century and renovated in 1986.

Architecture and equipment

The local chapel is a simple wooden building with a round apse on the road between Böheimkirchen and St. Pölten . The church with a gable roof covered, it is a ridge turret. The altar consists of a cafeteria with a reredos depicting the " death of Mary ". In the chapel there is also a baroque enthroned Madonna figure and statues of Saints Florian and Nepomuk from the 18th century. A canvas painting, also from the 18th century, shows Saint Joachim . A copper engraving shows a picture of Maria-Hilf from 1712.
