The Oselbach is a two-kilometer long stream in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Bad Dürkheim , which flows into the Speyerbach from the left after a southeast run .

course

The Oselbach rises in the Middle Palatinate Forest in a small forest meadow between the Hohe Oselkopf ( 497.7  m above sea  level ) in the west and the Krottenbuckel ( 463.8  m above sea level ) in the east at an altitude of about 346  m above sea level. NHN .

It initially flows about 150 m in a south-southeast direction through the forest meadow and then reaches the mixed forest. There it is fed by a spring from the right. The brook then runs through a narrow and wooded valley between the Niederen Oselkopf ( 428  m above sea level ) in the west and the Steigberg ( 415.9  m above sea level ) in the east, under the state road 499 leading from the Elmstein district of Schwarzbach to Elmstein and finally flows a good one kilometer west-northwest of Elmstein at an altitude of about 248  m above sea level. NHN underground verdolt from the left in the coming from the West Speyerbach .

For the entire length of the narrow forest valley, state road 504 follows the stream on the upper left slope; on its bottom there is only a farm road next to the stream.
