The Osjornaja ( Russian Озёрная ) is a 199 km long tributary of the Bering Sea on the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Far East of Russia .

River course

The Osjornaja rises in the Sredinny ridge . It originates from a mountain lake at an altitude of 1180  m , just under 20 km north of the Jelowski volcano . At river kilometer 170 is the 5.6 km long Bolshoye lake on the river. The Osjornaja then leaves the mountainous country and turns for the next 70 kilometers in the east-southeast direction. Later it flows in an easterly direction. At river kilometer 61 the Maimlja joins the Osjornaya on the right. This eventually reaches the east coast of Kamchatka and flows into the Bering Sea. The Osjornaja drains an area of 8480 km². The middle and lower reaches form the border between the Karaginsky Rajons in the north and Ust-Kamchatsky in the south.

The uninhabited Kura missile test site is located on the river .
