Oskar Üpraus (born August 12, 1898 in Keila , Estonia Governorate , † August 5, 1968 in Tallinn , Estonian SSR ) was an Estonian football player . With the Estonian national team , the striker took part in the Summer Olympics in 1924 .

Career

Oskar Üpraus was born in 1898 in the small town of Keila in northern Estonia. From 1920 he played football in Tallinn, 25 kilometers away . Üpraus played in his club career at SK Tallinna Sport , with which he was Estonian champion five times in the 1920s, and was active until the end of his career in 1927. In 1932 he played again for the SK Tallinna Sport and became champion again.

In October 1920 Üpraus made his debut for the Estonian national team against Finland in Helsinki . It was also the Estonians ' first international match .

At the age of 25, he took part in the soccer competitions of the Summer Olympics in Paris in 1924 . After a loss to the USA, he was eliminated with his team.

Üpraus ended his career with the last of a total of 26 international matches in 1927 against Latvia .
