Oskar Baumgarten (politician)

Oskar Baumgarten (born September 24, 1908 in Ritzelshof ; † October 25, 1990 ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After primary school, Oskar Baumgarten attended agricultural college and then worked as a self-employed farmer. From 1954, Oskar Baumgarten was a district farmer for almost 30 years . He was a member of the board of directors and the presidium of the Hessian farmers' association . In addition, he was active in many committees of the agricultural profession.

politics

Oskar Baumgarten joined the CDU in 1952. He was involved in local politics as a member of the district council of the Fulda district and, from 1972, on the community board of the then newly formed community of Ebersburg. In the Hessian Landtag he was a member of parliament for two terms, from December 1, 1962 to November 30, 1970.
