Oskar package
Oskar Pausch (* 24. May 1937 in St. Poelten , † 15. May 2013 in Vienna ) was an Austrian German studies , theater scholar , librarian and director of the Austrian Theater Museum .
Life
Oskar Pausch grew up in Styria and studied German and psychology at the University of Vienna . He also completed an apprenticeship as a screen printer . Package completed his habilitation in 1974 in the Department of Ancient German Studies . From 1969 to 1979 he headed the library of the Institute for Austrian Historical Research. From 1979 to 1997 he was director of the Austrian Theater Museum. From 1988 to 1992 he was President of the Societé internationale des Bibliothèques et des Musées des Arts du Spectacle (SIBMAS). He dealt primarily with cultural history and source research and published various studies and exhibition catalogs.

- 1977 Science Prize of the State of Lower Austria Promotion Prize
- 1997 Great Medals of Honor awarded by the Republic of Austria .
