Oskarström is a place ( Tatort ) in the municipality of Halmstad in the Swedish province of Hallands Lan . Located on the Nissan River and around 15 km northeast of Halmstad , Oskarström is the second largest town in the municipality with a population of over 4,000. Its name goes back to the accountant Oscar Björkman from Ulricehamn , who bought land there in 1844 and had a sawmill built. The original spelling of the place name was Oscarsström.

The place has a train station on the Halmstad – Nässjö railway line .
