Of Oststeinbeker SV is a sports club based in Schleswig-Holstein , on the eastern outskirts of Hamburg commune in Oststeinbek . The registered association (eV) was founded on July 10, 1948.
The club has different departments, the oldest of which is football . Other departments offer volleyball , badminton , basketball , beach volleyball , gymnastics , judo , jiu jitsu, kung fu , athletics , mother & child gymnastics , taekwondo , dance and table tennis . Although based in Schleswig-Holstein , most of the divisions take part in the gaming operations of the Hamburg professional associations.
Departments
badminton
In the 2006/07 season, the badminton department was able to set up 3 senior and 2 youth teams for the first time. The first team plays in the association league, the second after two promotions in a row in the district league, the third as a newly formed team in the district class C. Both youth teams compete in the U19A class for small teams. In addition, the Ost'bek tournament takes place every year at the beginning of May, in 2008 already in the 11th edition.
Soccer
The first men's team of the OSV played from the 2009/10 season until relegation in 2012 in the Hamburg Oberliga . 2013 succeeded in returning to the top division of Hamburg. Since the withdrawal at the end of the 2013/14 season, the team has been playing in the district league. In the 2017/2018 season they were promoted to the District League East and in 2019/2020 to the State League Hammonia .
Table tennis
The club takes part in the game with two women's and two men's teams. The first women's team that plays in the first regional league is most successful. The club takes part in games with a boys' team.

The OSV men's team played twice in the volleyball Bundesliga . In the 2005/06 season , the "Ostbek Cowboys" were relegated from the Bundesliga again after one season. After only one year in the second division, the successful relegation against FT Freiburg brought them back to the first division, where they competed under the name “Hamburg Cowboys” during the 2007/08 season. They finished the season bottom of the table and then broke up. Today the first men's team to appear under the name "Ostbek Pirates" plays in the 3rd Northern League . The first women's team of the coach Jörg Förster plays under the name "Ostbek Cowgirls" in the regional league. The second women's team, the "Ostbek Rockets", play in Hamburg's top division, the Association League. In total, there are two other men's teams in the volleyball department.
