Otgiva von Luxemburg from the House of Luxemburg (* around 995; † February 21, 1030 ) was Countess of Flanders by marriage .

origin

Otgiva was a daughter of Count Friedrich von Luxemburg and his wife Irmtrud von der Wetterau , a daughter of Count Heribert von der Wetterau . She was, through her father, a niece of Empress Kunigunde and the sister of Irmentrud, who was married to Welf II from the house of the Guelphs .

Marriage and offspring

In 1012 Otgiva married Count Baldwin IV Fairhair of Flanders. He was the only son of Count Arnulf II and his wife Rozala-Susanna of Italy . The marriage resulted in a son, who later became Count Balduin V.
