Othmar von Ege

Othmar von Ege (born February 24, 1847 in Eisenharz , † September 14, 1913 in Rottenburg am Neckar ) was a German Roman Catholic clergyman and vicar general of the Rottenburg diocese .

Life

After graduating from high school in Ehingen (Donau) , Ege studied Catholic theology , philosophy and philology at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . He received the 1872 sacrament of Holy Orders , and then was vicar in Oberteuringen .

Ege was a repetitionist at Wilhelmsstift in Tübingen from 1874 to 1879 , before he became city pastor in Friedrichshafen in 1880 . From 1885 he headed the Wilhelmsstift as director and was at the same time pastor of Tübingen until he changed to the leadership of the diocese of Rottenburg in 1893. There he was first cathedral capitular and then from 1899 until his death in 1913 vicar general and cathedral dean .

Since 1879 he was a member of the Catholic student union AV Guestfalia Tübingen .
