Otmar Mácha
Otmar Mácha (born October 2, 1922 in Mariánské Hory , † December 14, 2006 in Prague ) was a Czech composer.
Life
Mácha studied at the Prague Conservatory and was a student of Jaroslav Řídký until 1948 . From 1947 to 1962 he worked as a musical director and director for the Czechoslovak Radio in Prague. After that he lived as a freelance composer. In 1995 he founded the composer group Quattro with Zdeněk Lukáš , Sylvie Bodorová and Luboš Fišer .
He composed five operas, two symphonies and two sinfonietten, a symphonic poem, a symphonic interlude, orchestral variations, chamber music works, an oratorio, three cantatas, piano pieces, choral works, film scores and songs.
